My power turns off on my computer for no reason

Hello,
I have a Compaq laptop. I was in the middle of an online game and was warn that I needed to plug in my computer because my battery was low. I forgot... and it turned off. I plugged it in to the charger... it can on for about 3 min. then shut off again.... PLEASE help!!! This is my 2nd pc in 1&1/2 yrs. Help!

Greetings,

Try this:

1. Take out the battery.

2. Plug in the cable charger.

3. Restart the laptop by pressing the start button while holding it for 60 seconds to 2 minutes.

4. It should start, then you can put the battery back in.

It IS turning back on,but is again shutting off after several minutes. I've tried this 4 times now. The first time it stayed on 5min.,the next time it stayed on 12 min., then only 3. The second time I DID notice that the charge light was brighter. BUT, after just doing it, again. It is on, but the charge light is dim.? I'm sooo frustrated. Could it be overheating and shutting off?It says full charge?! Any other ideas?

This sound like overheating, I suggest to bring it to a qualified technician for repair
