No sound device installed Closed

Question

Hello, my windows xp too doesnt produce sound. It says saying There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly. Pls suggest 



Configuration: Windows XP / Safari 534.24

Hi,

Which kind of sound card is installed on your computer? If it is a Realtek:
Go to Control Panel, switched to Classic View, and opened the Device Manager. Then open the Sound folder, clicked on the Realtek and told it to DISABLE, then ENABLE. 

Otherwise let me know!
