Hello,
I have a latop running win7 been working fine for the last 7 months all of a sudden it shut down while i left it downloading one night, now everytime i start it up after a while it just freezes up and i have to hold the power button too turn it off and back on again. Have virus checked it and nothing and no spyware or malware either any ideas as its really getting annoying.

Thanks Gary

Overheating is the another reason for freezing. Overheating could result in the system to be damaged. To resolve this problem, you need to shut down the system for a few minutes. Also check the working of computer fan. Keep the air vents clean and dirt free. Keep your system in a good aerated room. Thus it prevents lock-ups caused due to overheating.
