Toshiba shuts down after 30 seconds

Hello,
Please excuse my first post.


I also have a toshiba satellite laptop a200 with windows xp It shuts down after 30 seconds of turning on I tried your suggestion of taking out the battery and power supply then holding the power button down for 30 seconds Then I plugged it back in to the ac adapter and it powers up but shuts right down when it starts to load

You have a hardware problem with the motherboard or the power section within the motherboard. Your next action should be sending the laptop in for factory service. It might be cheaper to copy the hard disk (or convert it to an external disk) and buy a new laptop.
