Hello,
My computer shut down with no problem and a few hours later I turned it back on , it passed the Acer screen but it came to a black screen where it is telling me to insert a boot disk but problem is I never got one of those disks. Help please

This indicates the hard disk is broken, disconnected or the boot sector of the hard disk is unreadable. Google for "free boot sector fix" to see if it's the latter problem. You might need to replace the hard disk.
