External Hard drive problem

Hello,

My external hard drive is 500 GB Toshiba. Its only two months old. It was working fine until a few days back. I transferred some movies into it and now its not working properly. I am not able to transfer any data either into the hard drive or from it into my laptop. I scanned and formatted it but its still not working. Most of the time when i plug it into the computer it makes a weird noise and shows access denied.

Please help
