Windows won't work Closed

Question

Hello, 

I have a windows 7 Laptop a compaq  presario I was streaming a video to my tv when my computer restarted. After that restart my laptop will not load windows. I can access my bios but when it tries to boot i just get a black screen with a flashing cursor. it does not tell me that windows is loading just as soon as i pass the manufacturer logo screen in goes blank. if anyone has any ideas about what might be wrong your input would be appreciated.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 6.0

Hello,

First try this:
Go to BIOS --> Make sure your hard disk is detected in the BIOS --> Set the first boot device as hard disk --> Save the settings and exit from the BIOS.
