Internet downloads

Hello,
i just recently had a friend install windows & for me from vista, im haveing lots of problems but the most troublesome right now is all my programs are out of date and i cant download anything to my computer, i reset everthing to the defalts and enabled everthing i could but still no use any suggestions?

Do you face issue with internet?

Did you install network drivers?
