Compaq presario cq61 hard drive issues

Hello,
I have had my compaq presario cq61 for about 2 and a half years.
it doesnt seem to like hard drives.
im on my 6th one. i have tried western dig. and seagate. but they still fail.
my last seagate lasted less than a month. can you tell me whats the problem?

Hi,

Can you please explain the issues for consecutively exchanging hard drives/ which will make it little easier to help you out with facing issue/issues.

ok, the first 2 (western dig covered under warranty), I wrote of to possible virus issues that had something to do with erasing the boot sector. hard drive num 3
was an old 80 gig fujitsu i had sitting around. that lasted about an hour. I wrote that off to being old. Hard drives number 4 (Western dig) and 5 (Seagate) both make that clicking nose you get when your hard drive fails. So that leads me hard drive number 6 (Seagate). I just finished installing win 7 and hoping for the best.
