Hello,
I restart my laptop from boot CD-xp that time i got this error.!

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it
is properly configured and terminated.
Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer

After researching, one of the posts says that I need to disable SATA driver which I did. I changed the boot sequence and made CD/DVD rom first but when I reboot, I got a message No bootable device.

What do I need to do?

Please help.

You are asking for endless trouble by trying to install Windows XP on this computer. Even if you get XP to install you will have major problems with hardware drivers since Dell does not support XP on this laptop.
