tv wont recognise hdmi with ps3 Closed

Question

Hello, 
i recently tried my ps3 with a hdmi cable that works fine on xbox and all i could get was a black screen.i know the tv is at fault with some compatablity issue-but is their and way to get it to work? i already tried holding the power button on the ps3 for 5 secs.the tv i have is an alba 19 inch hd ready.


Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 11.0
