Hard Drive Problem

Hello,
i have problem in my external hard drive. when i am going to click the drive option apears "the disk is not in drive" do u want to format the drive' yes or no".

i don't want to format my drive please solve my problem.

hi,
this means that the computer cannot recognise the hard drive.
try using it on another computer and if it detects the drive, make backups of your data.
then you will be able to to format it.
then it will be recognised by your computer.

It means it has been affected so you need to make a back i too had a same thing due to virus or too much storage get a data recovery software and recover you files thats what i did..best of luck
