Cannot connect to internet on laptop Closed

Question

Hello, 
I cannot connect to internet on a windows vista laptop but I can on my computer.
The internet icons to connect to show up and when I click on the main one, enter the password, it loads for like 5 minutes then just closes that little box and I'm still not connected to the internet? I've rebooted router, restarted the laptop.
Is there a button I need to click for it to work?
