Getting past safe mode screen to boot

Hello,



I have windows XP on my desktop computer. I can't seem to get it load. It will start up show the logo screen and then go to the safe mode options screen. Nothing I choose takes it anywhere but back to that screen. It will show a multi-disk checking message but always comes back to this screen. I need to know if there is something i can do to fix this or do i need to take it to a repair shop? Please help!
