Hello,
My keyboard sound adjustment keys(f10-mute, f11-decrease vol, f12-inc. vol ) on my Asus notebook k4oij/k5oij series were working fine a day ago, now when i have IE9 open and try to adjust the volume i get a notebook page that opens and says:
(at the top) Hardware Forum-F12-ask your question
It then follows with some code writing or something ,I just installed IE9 today, any ideas what this is and how to make the volume work again on my f10,f11 and f12 buttons?

Hello,

Try this 1

If you press the F12 key you will be getting the developer tool window.

If you need to disable then follow the below instructions

1) First backup your registry.

Click on Start --> In search box, type regedt32 and press Enter.

"Registry Editor" will be opened. Click on "File" --> Export --> Save the file

with any name.

2) Click on Start --> In search box, type notepad and press Enter.

"Notepad" will be opened.

Copy the below lines which are in bold and paste it in the notepad.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IEDevTools]
"Disabled"=-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IEDevTools]
"Disabled"=dword:00000001

Save the file as "Disable.reg"

[Note: Don't forget the extension ".reg" ]

Now double-click on the "Disable" file --> Click on "Yes" --> Yes --> OK.

Good Luck
