Hello,
My Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop displays nothing when switched on. However, the HDD seems to be running. It started after I left it on in a bag. It got heated up and has not displayed anything since then. It only makes a sound and nothing else happens. Please I urgently need help because all my stuffs are on it. Thank you

Listen to the sound it makes. It should be made up of a pattern, after you count it, google the code and model of your laptop, it should tell you what is wrong.
(An example of a Beep code is 1 long, 3 short. This may not be what you get however)
Good Luck, hope this helps!

Hello,
Try this 1
1) Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for
60 seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and
later put the battery back into the laptop.
2) If the problem still exists then click on the below link and follow the instructions

Good Luck
