DNS server does not response? Closed

Hello, 
I have 2Wire router and an ASUS RT-N12 as repeater connect wirelessly. On Vista laptop, the problem occurs occasionlly, but on the XP laptop, I keep getting error Can't contact DNS server...When I ping from the XP sometimes it take more than 100 pings to get response from the DNS server.

Can't somebody points me to the right direction to solve this problem.

Have you tried just replacing the 2Wire router with the ASUS one?

I have the same problem as you, and this is the solution.

If you go to LAN Settings, you will see Default Gateway is blank.  Enter the IP address of your default gateway and save the settings.

DNS server does not response?
