Hello,
I have a ex boyfriend that has a great friend ? that worked at HP and is a complete computer whiz and hacker guy. I know very little . I think my ex is getting into my unsecured linkys router and I do not know how to make it secure. I do not know where to go find the icon for the router either as I have looked. I do not know very much about computers. My ex had a account on my computer that I discovered and took it off so I thought it was over but I think he is still getting into my Outlook express email and into my computer. Is there a way to make my computer secure so I do not have open line for him to get into to anymore ?. Thank you so much for your time, Linda

You needed to connect your computer by wire to the router. You can only change router security from a wired connection. Then type http://192.168.1.1/ into the address line of your internet browser. This will connect you to the router set-up page. Then you need to select a security setting and enter a key for the WPA or WEP security. Write down and save the key. You will then need to enter that key into your computer wireless set-up so you can connect wirelessly. You can go to www.linksys.com for more set-up info to this site has a set of instructions
