Laptop keyboard locks up

Hello,


I will be typing on my HP laptop (Pavilion dv6-6167cl Entertainment PC) and will suddenly lock. I have to shutdown, bring it back up which means I lose everything I've typed. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix this?

Keyboard locks or the whole computer locks-up?

Can you move the mouse when it freezes?

Is it just one program like Word or Interned Explorer or something else?

What version of Windows are you using?
