Virus preventing internet access Closed

Hello, 

I have a virus that is preventing me from accessing the internet. One minute it was working and then suddenly it stopped. The laptop detects there is a network connection, but when I try to browse the internet it just won't display the page.

Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello Absolute,

If you boot in safemode with networking, how is your internet connection then?

In safemode it still won't connect

Dear Absolute,

In that case I don't think it's a virus.  I suggest that you contact your Internet service provider to help you reconfigure your IE7, after which, for better performance, I suggest you update to IE8.
