596.16 GB external drive but properties appears that it is only

Hello,

can anybody help me? i formatted my Samsung 596.16 GB external drive using HP Drive Key Boot Utility. i read a discussion in a forum that he used HP drive utility and it did help him. I already format it using my computer, but it did not help me, so i tried using HP. after the format process, my device went from 596.16 GB capacity to 165 MB. i downloaded EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. and it is still 596.16 GB. how can i restore its capacity. i badly need your help. huhuhu.....please, help me fix my problem. :(

Hi raynechelle,

There is a possibility the Hard Drive and its Partitions are not allocated properly after formatting. Also, when you use "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard" it restores most of the deleted data from the Hard Drive which might acquire more space. The actual method of checking the available space is by looking at the Hard Drive in Disk Management. To check the Hard Drive in Disk Management, please follow the steps mentioned in the below mentioned link. Please check and ensure there is no unallocated space in your external Hard Drive. If so, format and assign a drive letter to the unallocated space:
