Hello,
Try this 1
With external supply plugged in, click on Start --> In search bar, type
devmgmt.msc and press Enter. "Device Manager" will be opened.
Expand "Batteries"--> Right-click on the "Microsoft ACPI-Complaint Control Method
Battery" --> Select "Uninstall". After uninstalling it, remove the battery from the
laptop and place it back after a while and then in device manager, click on
"Actions" --> Scan for hardware changes.
Good Luck

Try this 1
1) After plugging your external supply, switch on your laptop and keep tapping F2 key which will take you to CMOS settings. Look at the AC Adapter type and make sure it doesn't show as unknown.
2)Make sure that your laptop is not getting overheated. Clean all the vents, blow out with canned air. Never run your laptop on bag & bed. Laptop Sides, back and bottom must be clear.
3) Go to device manager once again and update the devices that you found under batteries by right-clicking on it and selecting the option update.
4) If the problem still exists then update your BIOS.
Good Luck
