Ok...I admit it...in a moment of anger I slammed the lid on my laptop while it was running.
Now when I try to boot it, after approximately 1 minute I get the "Acer" screen saying "press f2 to enter setup". But it is frozen at that point.
I'm assuming I've corrupted something in either the bios or elsewhere, but I'm hoping there is an easy fix to this. I did open up the doors on the back of it and removed and reinstalled the hard drive and memory thinking maybe I had jarred them loose. I removed the battery and adapter and pressed the power button for 20 seconds and reinstalled to see if there was something stuck in memory. Same problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Try this 1
If its having any problem in detecting one of your devices then you might face
such an issue like frozen screen with the logo. Look at the POST message for
more information. When you switch ON your laptop, keep tapping the "Tab" key
which then shows you the POST message. Look at where it is keep detecting.
Good Luck
