Cd rom not working

my cd rom is not working it says that windows can not start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (code 19)
please help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Hello,
Try this 1
Click on Start --> Run--> Type regedt32 and press Enter.
"Registry Editor" will be opened.
First backup your registry by going to "File" --> Export --> Save the file with any
name in your desired location.
At the left side expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -->SYSTEM -->CurrentControlSet
--> Control --> Class --> Click on {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
At the right side if you find upperfilter, lowerfilter,upperfilter.bak, lowerfilter.bak,
just delete them
Restart your laptop.
