Hi rajeshzmr,
Try connecting this hard drive to a different computer which has virus protection and see if you can get it to work. In your reply please add the exact model number of you External Hard Drive and the Operating System installed in your computer.

Tried the same with Win 7, win 8 with kaspersky 2013 internet security but no help. One system with win 8 without AV and the system stopped working. the model is seagate freeagent goflex 500 gb.
