hello bro,
i think when monitor led green and then orange simply the reason that it did not get the signal for cpu. but in your case when you attached it to another cpu then the same problem accure. i think it's problem of bad monitor signal cable or the monitor circuit problem( in case Horizal Outupt trangister did not work).
