try this:
Control panel
>Sounds speech and audio devices
>Audio devices
>Audio
>Sound Playback --- Default Device.
make sure it's on your correct speakers...
Hit Apply

Why not try to check your sound manager and also check the plug of your headset or speaker maybe it just loosen. Try also to check if you removed some files that caused you some problems when it comes to sound.
