Hang in there.....
Ok, so you should have all USB cables disco'ed before entering safe mode.
"If you succeeded in activating Safe Mode, you will see a message on the screen saying, "Connect the controller using a USB cable and then press the PS button." "
So, if you trying to use a wireless controller without the USB cable, you will not be able to, you must have a wired controller!
