I cannot use any of my browsers both Firefox and Internet Explorer. However I do have a connection and can use Spotify, Steam, and Skype. Thanks for reading.

You might try to reset the security settings to default and delete any proxy servers that malware might have added.

Good Luck

I had changed my proxy settings and reset Firefox. What do you mean by reset security settings to default?

Internet Explorer can set the security level using "Tools" - Internet Options - Security and click on "Default level"

you might also go to "privacy" tab and set it to Medium

sorry to hear that. You might try the Malwarebytes or Spybot software to see if they can find a problem with "browser helper" software that may be disabling your access. You would need to download it on another computer and transfer it to this one.

Another thought - do you have a router? It can some times get in the way with DNS service. Try to type the Google IP address http://74.125.224.72/ and see what happens.
You could try to reset the router or bypass it for testing.

I just ran SpyBot Search and Destroy and no malicious software was found at all.

Have you changed any security settings lately? You may have to re-install the OS.
