i have a toshiba computer. al it does when i switch it on is the screen comes on and at the logo it says i can go to f2 or f12. i can go to f2 but not f12.

when turned onthe logo comes on the little loader circle does its thing but then it says something has happed and it needs to restart but it never restarts just sets there.

any help.

I assume F2 gets you into the BIOS. Do you see a hard drive listed in the BIOS? If not then your drive has failed and will need to be replaced. If the disk drive is identified by the BIOS you may still have a hardware problem with the disk. In either case it will need a computer tech to identify and fix things.
