I have an Acer Aspire laptop. It fell down and now it will not start. Keeps showing the screen with options:
Start in Safe Mode
Safe mode with networking
Use the last best configuration

Start normally.

I clicked all none worked.
I have some really important data in there which I don't want to loose; and I don't want to reinstall this windows.

I read over the internet about Windows XP recovery console. Will this work i my case.
I am an average user of computer.
1. Where I can find the download
2. How to burn files on a cd. (as image or data)
3. How to copy my data?

I will appreciate any help.
Thanks.

you just need a windows XP bootable CD to enter the recovery console:

Follow the instructions on this link: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-enter-windows-xp-recovery-console-2624534

Thanks for the help. I opted to go to a computer repair. The data was too important. He connected my hard drive to a pc and copied the data fron there to his pc. But he still holds an opinion that the hard may be corrupt. Is this possiblly true? Or iis he trying to raise cost on me.
Thanj you once again.

Yes your hard disk may be corrupted or damaged.

Only a technician can recover some data, usually the cost goes up with the volume of data to be recovered and transferred.
