I suggest you call Comcast. They should be able to walk you through changing the router settings. I assume you had DSL from AT&T. DSL normally uses a different connection protocol than cable. The router clones the address from the DSL modem. I'm sure the Comcast techs see this problem daily and can run you through resetting the router.
