Hi folks, Have tried all of the methods mentioned in most forums and from Toshiba site but silly me didn't do a recovery cd when I bought the computer so I accept responsibility. I used the 0 and boot method but it doesn't work. I now have a screen titled Windows Boot Manager and further down it says:

File: \boot\BCD
Status: 0xc00000e9
Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

Then 2 options, Enter =continue which just reboots the same screen or
ESC=exit which also just reboots the same screen. HELP?
Wayne

I suspect you have hard drive problems. Solution - buy a new hard drive and a copy of Windows 8.1

Sorry for the bad news
