This is not a new problem, just a different twist and since this error and 0x8007064 addresses installation issues I have searched for general a fix for this problem.

However, most results have proven to be more program/application ---specific---(especially with MS) than general.I'm somewhat confused on which and what fixes to apply.I'm in hopes of getting some directions I should take based on the following:I downloaded Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility from Cnet and proceeded to install it which appeared to be going well until I encountered this:: LAST PART of the LOG.I really would appreciate some HELP to fix this.I'm probably going to run into this again. What you have downloaded is either corrupted and/or not compatible with your machine.

I'm currently running win7pro(oem)sp1on a Dell lap t....Now that I really recap the chain of events...just before Extreme Tuning Utility presented its' logs,it did say it was attempting to install on a unsupported platform.I somewhat disregarded this...for one,it has occured before with several other apps without issue and secondly based on Cnet's reviews and ETU specs....we should be (os/hardware) compatible.Based on your info...I shall seek another download site and attempt to install again and if the results are the same...then all is well and thank you for setting matters straight.
