Toshiba L300/L300D notebook restore

Ok guys, I'm badly needing some help, I have a Toshiba L300/L300D notebook series laptop and I've tried on countless occasions to restore it to its "out of box" state, my problem is when you hold in the 0 and press the power button it's not making the beeping noise at all, please help!!!
