Can you explain me what is
1-Prefered DNS Server
2-Prefered DNS Server

I saw them in IP Address version 4.

What do they use for?

so mean DNS is translate from text to number as IP address to make computer understanding?

YUP!


Do this:

open a cmd prompt and ping your favorite website.

The resulting ip address was obtained from your preferred dns.

That is what makes the loss of control of ICANN so scarey! I do not want the UN controlling the database of all of the registrations of websites! The previous statement was my opinion, and it hasn't changed since the announcement of such.

It turns plain names like google.com to an ip address.
