Raspberry Pi - Arduino

Hi,

I have a big project at the moment which is quite feasible in my opinion, where, the aim of the project is to create a computer that integrates a virtual reality helmet someone can wear, as that of Iron Man, and able to work with and everything ... Anyway, it is not the problem, The problem this poses or I have to choose the correct equipment ... I thought that Banana Pi with a well programmed Arduino combo can do the trick. But I do not know if because of the fact of using open-source materials, my project becomes Open-source too, but that is not what I want, I want a commercial thing. Also, can you please do provide references at right equipment? I wonder if there's more there than what I have already chosen as material ...
