If you are still having display problems in safe mode, then most likely it's a graphic card issue for which only a qualified hands-on technician can confirm.
If you ever get the idea to purchase another laptop, don't buy Toshiba.

I believe this a bug with Windows 8, that why Microsoft issued the upgrade to 8.1 which is free.

I couldn't upgrade because the screen kept shutting before the download complete.. I asked someone to fix it and i was told that my graphics card should be replaced.. What should i do?!!

Yes i can.. The problem is that the screen stop working in middle of anything i try to do
