Hi
My laptop is toshiba and i working on windows 8 ..my labtop was working fine but suddenly the screen went to many colors and then started again and it shows the massage "the display driver stopped and recoverd" after doing that 2 times i think it just did it agin but didn't work so i couldn't do anything other than turning it off by the button.. When i started again it worked for a while then did the same thing so i turned it off but when i started it again it went black -but the screen light were on- i did the turn off the laptob then unplug the charger and the battery then turn it on thing and it worked but for few minutes then went black
Please please help me!

If you are still having display problems in safe mode, then most likely it's a graphic card issue for which only a qualified hands-on technician can confirm.
If you ever get the idea to purchase another laptop, don't buy Toshiba.

I believe this a bug with Windows 8, that why Microsoft issued the upgrade to 8.1 which is free.

I couldn't upgrade because the screen kept shutting before the download complete.. I asked someone to fix it and i was told that my graphics card should be replaced.. What should i do?!!

Yes i can.. The problem is that the screen stop working in middle of anything i try to do
