You must see a technician. Usually a competent technician can transfer most of the data from the damaged disk to the new one, there may be some lost like a few programmes, then again, may be not.

I suggest you use the Dell diagnostics I think it's F11 or F12 at start-up. You might be looking a bad hard disk.

I've tried that and it just shows the loading bar then nada

What is your operating system?
What is the Dell model?
Did this happen all of sudden? What did you do before the issue occured? (Browsing, downloading, installing, software or hardware addition, etc.)
What is your antivirus?
How old is the lappy?
Can you boot in safe mode with networking?

Well it's like a year and a half old now, with Norton antivirus. It's been happening for the past month or so and I don't know if it's a specific thing or not. I think the models a inspiron 5200 and it's operating system is a nvida from a year ago with all of the updates.

8 and I can't even get to safe mode, it's just shows the loading bar under the Dell logo then does nothin man

As Xpcman said, this is bad harddisk which must be replaced.
