Unable to Disable AVIRA anti-virus

I have found the instructions to temporarily disable Avira but the icon in the system tray (near the clock) doesn't have the option "Activate AntiVir Guard".to uncheck. Has anyone else had this problem??

Thanks for your response. I have been uninstalling it - but it's a real nuisance to have to keep doing this, so was hoping for an easier solution

uncheck Real-Time Protection
