Unable to Disable AVIRA anti-virus Closed

Question

I have found the instructions to temporarily disable Avira but  the icon in the system tray (near the clock) doesn't have the option  "Activate AntiVir Guard".to uncheck. Has anyone else had this problem??

Thanks for your response. I have been uninstalling it - but it's a real nuisance to have to keep doing this, so was hoping for an easier solution

Navigate to the system tray on the bottom right corner and look for an open white umbrella with red colored background.

Right-click the Umbrella
Right-click the white umbrella and uncheck the `AntiVir Guard enable' option.

Look for Closed Umbrella

You should now see a closed, white umbrella with a red background which shows that your Avira AntiVir is disabled.
