Toshiba will not power up at all

can anyone help please

have a Toshiba laptop.
the left mouse key was loose/damaged,and I tried to drag the button back into place.
have to admit that the battery was in at the time.
anyway the scree went blank and now when its switched on it will not power up at all.
can anyone advise please ?

take the battery out and unplug ac hold down power button for 30sces. put it back the battery and the ac and see if that works

the fan starts for about two seconds switches off

I have worked on Two seperate toshibas, and have never recovered from this type of indication, even with new MB, and RAM. I am not certain there is anything the normal user can do.

is it possible to repair what are the likely causes please

My GUESS is power supply. I never took it that far though.
