Wifi Connection Show But Websites Are Not Loading

My acer laptop (windows 8) will not load and websites even though the wifi connection shows full bar and I already tried unplugging the base and disconnecting the wifi but nothing works. What can I do?

What is the speed like if you use an ethernet cable directly to your router?
