External Hard drive does not show up in my computer.

My 500gb buffalo seagate external hard disk does not show up in my computer, I have tried it on several other computers and it does not seem to work. The light comes up and it also shows up on the devices but it cannot be accessed there. Please someone help.

Hi there,

Can you confirm that drivers are installed when first connect the drive to PC? Check in Device Manager. If you see the drive, uninstall drivers, restart PC, plug device again and wait to reinstall drivers. Check in Disk Management. If the drive is listed there, it may require initialization.
It is a bit strange that the drive is not visible on any PC. Try what I suggested. If you still have no success, think about getting a replacement.
