Internet (explore) will not open

I keep getting a message that says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005). Click OK to close the application."

it is titled iexplore.exe - Application Error

Basically i cannot get onto the internet with my E app on my laptop.

Ideas?

Which version of IE do you have?
