I remember password and ID but cannot access alternate email

Hello, I can no longer access my alternate email account for verification. I do remember my passwords and my ID. for some reason I am asked to check my alternate email account for verification. The alternate email account is from 2011 and no longer valid. I need to access my account to update the verification info

Thank you. I've been at that stage on my way to trying to solve my problem. Unfortunately this link is not available in my country.
I think the only solution for me is to create a new email address with a different provider. The customer service here is really non existent.
I don't see the logic behind blocking my email if I have both the ID and the password
