Hello,

I am using the abive mentioned laptop and when I turn it on the screen stays blank. I see alot of forums advise you to take out the battery. How do you do that on the Lenovo s215 ideapad? Do I need to unscrew the bottom? Please help

Hi Nick14

No Do Not Unscrew The Bottom!

The laptops battery pack is on the bottom of the laptop. Turn your laptop up-side-down so the bottom is visable, and the hinge furthest away from you. The battery is the long "strip" vsiable at the hinge end running from left to right. There are two battery releases - one each end and in front of the battery. Slide these towards the edge of the machine. The battery should now slide backwards out of the machine.

When replacing the battery be sure to close the battery releases (thereby locking the battery in place) if they dont automaticaly close by themselves.
