My hp laptop sound doesn't work at all as well as headphones

                    Hi Anonx,
It could be a sound driver issue. Try this:
This is for Windows 7 - other Windows operating systems are very similar, but may have different wordings.
Click the Start button.
Right click Computer and choose Manage.
In the left pane choose device manager.
Expand the "Sound, video and game controlers"listing (double click it)
Right click and choose "uninstall" for every device in that group. Accept the warnings.
In the "Actions" menu (on the menu bar at the top of the window) choose "scan for hardware changes". It will reinstall the drivers for what you have deleted. It might ask if you want to - say yes.
Sometimes a restart is needed to finish.
Hopefully you have sound again.
