Laptop not connecting to internet after I installed new Router

Hello,
I'd be very grateful if anyone has a fix for this. I purchased an Asus Router and it's hooked up correctly. My laptop will not connect to the internet now but my desktop and ipad do. Why is this? Could my Modem need to be changed? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
As your desktop got connection from router it is not router problem..
may be your laptop to be set for connection...
it is wireless/wired?
