My acer net book freezes as soon as you turn it on

my net book turns on then the ACER logo appears across the screen but doesn't move past that I tried clicking on f-2 and f-12 to reboot menu or whatever option it gave me it says please wait on bottom (still just has the acer logo across screen) that's all it does its mostly been in a box for a year last april I dropped it on a hard wood floor the screen it would turn on then shut off but now a year later it turns on an stays on but doesn't go past the turning on point ANY suggestions??? please its run by windows 7 its an acer one series

If the laptop was turned on when dropped. Then you probably damaged the hard disk as well as other parts (like the screen or motherboard).

One would need "hands on" access to the laptop to have any chance to discover what part or parts are damaged.

It's probably cheaper to send it off to salvage and buy a new one. Since anyone in the US is going to charge you $100 just to look at it.
