as far as your concern the router provided by the ISP is just a terminal on your LAN, so you don't need to configure it as much as you need to configure your LAN itself.
so as long as the ISP router is connected to your LAN it should distribute internet or other services provided by ISP.
the best way is to get your ISP to give you the proper IP and DNS for the router as it's considered a gateway for your network.

Sub 255.255.255.0. The main thing is to get the access point going again..Thank you for your reply.. never had so much trouble before

also can u post what can u see when enter ipconfig on CMD
and you can try the www.routerpasswordss.com
